Project 365 ~ Day 10 (January 10, 2009)

This is day 10 of my Project 365. Today I am going to concentrate on my younger son's love of basketball and how he made it onto the Clear Lake Boys Basketball team! Woo-hoo! We waited too late last year and didn't find out about the try-outs until after they were over. But this season, we found out in plenty of time to set up a time for trying-out. Even though Hunter had not had a basketball in his hand in nearly two years (since he played for one season for the YMCA here in Texas), he still made the draft! His team is called "Rockets" (after the Houston Rockets of course) and they wear red, black and white. Today, January 10, was his first game of the season and his team won (24 to 17). What an exciting game! And Hunter made a free throw shot (after having been "tackled" by another player)! :) Way to shoot the hoops, Hunter! It is so much fun watching your child excel in something that they love, not to mention seeing them have so much fun at it, too! I had a hard time getting him out of there after his game was over. The two teams that were scheduled to play a game in the gym next had friends of his on both teams! So....we stayed and watched that game, too, and then he shot some baskets with them afterwards for fun.
